For over 25 years in the steel and metal business, the main focus of Coppermetal is to reach the Copper Sheet market. We have a large stock of different alloys and we aim, above all, at the satisfaction of our customers.
Copper Sheets are one of the oldest alloys with copper and tin as its base, plus variable proportions of other elements that may vary according to each type of alloy, shape, and application.
The purpose of the alloy is to obtain characteristics superior to those of copper; tin, for example, has the characteristic of increasing the mechanical resistance and hardness of copper without changing its ductility.
Certified by ISO 9001, Coppermetal has a unique service for Copper Sheets and all its portfolio of products. We have a sales team fully capable of meeting and satisfying the expectations of our customers.
Copper Sheets are generally used for manufacturing gears, bushings, bearings, crowns, bushings for the automotive, sugar and alcohol industries, and heavy machinery, among others.
Copper Sheets are used in the manufacture of:
- O-Rings, Valves, Flanges, and Connections
- Pressure and temperature resistant parts
- Decorative lines
- Coupling elements
- Components for the chemical industry
- Parts for switches and fuse holders
Main characteristic
One of the main properties of Copper Sheet is its high resistance to frictional wear, which makes bronze a material widely used in bearings and gears.
Excellent cold formability, Excellent corrosion resistance, Excellent weldability and brazability
Shapes in which they are supplied: Bushings – Billets – Flat Bars – Squares – Rings – Discs
Variations / Alloys (at least 3)
Standards: ASTM – SAE – DIN – ABTN – UNS – BS – NF – UNI – JIS – SIS – VSM.
Special Alloys: SAE-40, 43, 660, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 620, 622, CA-954, and CA-955 Phosphor Bronze TM-23 SAE-430, A, B, C SAE- 68, A, B, C – Superalloy – 3, 5, 7 Graphite Bronze in Bushings and Billets (Grafissinter) Bronze Alloy, BZ-2, BZ-5, BZ-8, BZ-12, and BZ-14
Advantages: Unlike iron and copper, Copper Sheets have greater flexibility to be handled, softness, and their remnants can be remelted, being reused in the production of parts.
